Stage the Kits

Once a staging order is created with kits, you can pick the items and place them in the staging bin. If needed, you can unstage a kit if it has not been moved to production.

Stage a kit

  1. Choose the icon, enter Kits, then choose the related link.

  2. On the Kits page, open the kit you want to stage.

  3. On the Kit page, in the General FastTab, populate the following field:

    Field Description
    Type

    Select the type of kit.

    • Assemble: The kit consists of components, which are expected to be mixed together.

    • Bulk: The kit consists of bulk items, which are not expected to be mixed together.

  4. In the Lines FastTab, for the Supply line, populate the following fields:

    The Demand line shows what is needed to build the kit. The Supply field is how you build the kit.

    Field Description
    Quantity

    Enter the item quantity to go in the kit.

    Bin Code Select the bin from which to pick the items.
    Lot No. / Package No. / Serial No. For tracked items, select the tracking number of the item to add to the kit.

    If you need to delete a Supply line, select Functions > Correct > Delete Supply Entry.

  5. Select the Supply line, and select Functions > Stage to move the items to the staging bin.

    A Staged line is created and the items are moved to the staging bin set for the component in the production order.

    If the quantity was not the full Demand quantity, another Supply line will automatically be added.

  6. Repeat the steps until all of the Demand lines are fully staged.

    When the kit is fully staged, the Staged state field will have a value of Full.

    When ready, prepare the components as needed in your staging area, and then move the staged kit to production.

Unstage a kit

You can unstage a kit, which will put the items back in the original bin. You can unstage a line or the entire kit.

If the kit has been moved to production, you cannot unstage it. You will first need to remove the line from production.

  1. Choose the icon, enter Kits, then choose the related link.

  2. On the Kits page, open the kit you want to unstage.

  3. Unstage a line.

    1. In the Lines FastTab, select the Staged line you want to unstage.

    2. Select Functions > Correct > Unstage.

      The Staged line is removed and the items are returned to the original bin.

      If you want to add a new Supply line, you will need to select a Demand line, and then select Functions > Prepare > Add Supply Entry.

  4. Unstage the whole kit.

    1. Select Correct > Unstage Kit.

      All of the Staged lines are removed and the items are returned to the original bin.

      If you want to add a new Supply line, select a Demand line, and then select Functions > Prepare > Add Supply Entry.
