Set up inventory restriction groups.

Configure bins so that items automatically receive restrictions when placed in them, and create a quarantine bin for items that are blocked from regular bin movements.

Item Recalls

If the Item Recalls app is installed, item restrictions can be assigned to tracked items associated with a released item recall. The restricted items will be prevented from being used in inbound, outbound, and warehouse processes depending on how the inventory restriction codes were set up.

This feature can be used when you want to prevent items that are part of a recall from being used in transactions.

In addition to the Inventory Restrictions setup steps, you will need to set up item recalls.

Quality Inspections

If the Quality Inspections app is installed, item restrictions can be assigned to tracked items associated with active or finished quality inspections. The restricted items will be prevented from being used in inbound, outbound, and warehouse processes depending on how the inventory restriction codes were set up.

This feature can be used when you want to prevent items undergoing a quality inspection from being used in transactions or restrict items that have failed an inspection.

In addition to the Inventory Restrictions setup steps, you will need to set up quality inspections.
