Create Kit Production Groups

You need to assign a kit group to a production and component kit group combination.

The kit production group determines how the components in a kit group are grouped together when staging a production order.

1. Choose the icon, enter Kit Production Groups, and then choose the related link.

2. On the Kit Production Groups page, select New.

3. Populate the following fields:

   Field	Description
   Prod. Item Kit Group Code	Select the kit group code that represents the item being manufactured.
   Comp. Item Kit Group Code	Select the kit group code that represents the components being grouped for staging.
   Kit Production Group	Select the kit production group to determine how the components in a kit group are grouped together when staging a production order. Orders: Group the components together for all selected production orders. For example, use this to gather all the packaging materials needed for the day's production orders. Order Line: Group the components by individual production order and by each production order line. For example, use this to gather all of the seasoning components together for each production order. Batches: Group the components together by batch. For example, if a production order is split into batches, use this to gather all of the seasoning components together for each batch. This option is only available if the Production Batching app is installed. See Add a batch kit production group for more information.

   You can add lines that have the same production item kit group but that have different component item kit groups and production groups.

   You can now assign a kit group and subgroup to the manufactured and component items you want to use in staging.
