Prioritize Items for Automatic Consumption
In order for items to be automatically consumed during production, you need to assign a priority to the items being consumed.
Choose the
icon, enter Item Tracked Flushing Prioritization, then choose the related link.
On the Item Tracked Flushing Prioritization page, in the Options FastTab, populate the following fields to filter the contents to which you want to apply prioritization:
Field Description Location Filter Select the location on which to filter the contents. Bin Filter Select the bin on which to filter the contents. Item Filter Select the item on which to filter the contents. Package No. Filter Select the package number on which to filter the contents.
This field is automatically populated with the default package number if the Use Default Package toggle is turned on.Lot No. Filter Select the lot number on which to filter the contents. Serial No. Filter Select the serial number on which to filter the contents.
Hidden by default.Variant Filter Select the variant number on which to filter the contents.
Hidden by default.Use Default Package Turn the toggle on to automatically populate the Package No. Filter field with the default package number.
This means that only tracked items in a default package can be prioritized and used in automatic consumption.
This feature requires the Warehouse License Plating app. If the app is not installed, an error message will appear with a link to download it.
Once the Warehouse License Plating app is installed, you must assign a default package number on the Inventory Setup page. If no default package is assigned, an error will be displayed. For setup instructions, see Set Up Warehouse License Plating.Select Get Contents to return items that match the filter values.
Items that have already been prioritized will also be displayed. Existing priority numbers will be overwritten when Automatic is selected.
Select Automatic > Automatic to assign a priority number to items that are eligible to be consumed.
Items are prioritized based on the expiry date. If an item does not have an expiry date, it will not be assigned a priority number. Items will be consumed starting at the highest priority number.
Items that cannot be consumed, for example expired items or items without an expiry date, will not receive a priority number. These records will be removed from the Item Tracked Flushing Entry table when the NICITF Maintenance Mng. (23079827) job queue is run.
Note
The value in the Available Quantity field is correct at the time of prioritization but may change at the time of consumption if inventory has been used or is allocated for another operation.
If you want to manual adjust a priority number for a single line,
Select Automatic > Manual > Start.
The To Priority field is displayed.
Populate the following field for the priority you want to change:
Field Description To Priority Enter the new priority of the line.
You can only change the priority for one line.Select Automatic > Manual > Finish.
Important
The line that is selected is the line that will be updated. For example, if you enter a value in the To Priority field and press Enter, you are moved to the next line, which means that is the line that will be updated.
The Priority field is updated.
The priority is associated with the tracking number, and will determine the order in which lots are automatically consumed for component items that have a value of Forward or Backward in the Flushing Method field.
Tip
Select Reset Priority to set all of the Priority fields to zero.
