Automatically Consume Prioritized Items

In order to automatically consume prioritized items for a production order, the following must be true:

• An Open Shop Floor bin must be set up.

• The Open Shop Floor bin must have enough prioritized inventory to fulfill the production order.

Once tracked items are prioritized, they will be automatically consumed from a production order depending on the component's routing link code and flushing method.

• Routing Link Code: If a production order's routing and the BOM component have a routing link code, and the flushing method is Forward or Backward, then the prioritized items are automatically consumed when the output is posted.

• Forward Flushing: If a component does not have a routing link code and has a flushing method of Forward, then the prioritized items are automatically consumed when the production order is refreshed.

• Backward Flushing: If a component does not have a routing link code and has a flushing method of Backward, then the prioritized items are automatically consumed when the production order is finished.

Items with the highest priority are consumed first.
