Add Required Fields to FoodChain ID

Certain fields must be manually added to FoodChain ID in order for the required data to be imported into Business Central.

Contact your FoodChain ID representative for information on adding custom fields.

Required fields

The following fields need to be added to items in FoodChain ID:

  • Category_BUOM: Used to record an item and production BOM's header base unit of measure in Business Central .

  • Category_Shelf Life (days): Used to record an item's expiration calculation in Business Central.

These fields already exist in the API configuration and mappings, and no further modifications are required.

Note

If your expiration calculation is recorded by week or month, you will need to adjust the value in the Data Transformation Rule field to the appropriate date formula when mapping the fields.

Optional fields

The following fields can be added to items in FoodChain ID if you want to record this information:

  • Category_Usage Statement: Adds a usage statement to the item specifications in Business Central.

  • Category_Storage Conditions: Adds storage conditions to the item specifications in Business Central.

These fields already exist in the API configuration and mappings, and no further modifications are required.
