Post Commission Payments Using Current Date

You can now pay commissions using the work date instead of the original date the commission was calculated with the new Payment Posting Date Source field. This allows the payments to be made in a different period than they were calculated in since commissions are only paid out periodically and the period in which the document was initially posted may be closed.

Note

The posting date on the commission entry will continue to be the original sales document posting date so that the commission entries are linked to that document.

Sales Commission Setup
  • Payment Posting Date Source: New field. Source of the posting date when paying commissions to agents. This allows you to calculate the commissions in one period, and pay them out in another.

    • Commission Entry Post Date (default): Pay the commission based on the date the commission was posted. If this option is selected, commissions need to be posted before the commission period is closed.

    • Work Date: Pay the commission using the work date. If this option is selected, commissions can be posted after the commission period is closed.
