Use Assisted Setup
The Set up FoodChain ID connector assisted setup will set up the FoodChain ID Connector Setup page.
Choose the
icon, enter Assisted Setup, and then choose the related link.
In the Get started with apps from NIC Systems Inc group, select Set up FoodChain ID connector to open the FoodChain ID Connector Setup Wizard.
If you are asked if you want to run the assisted setup again, select Yes.
Select Next.
Populate the following fields:
Field Description FoodChain ID Environment Select the FoodChain ID environment to which to connect. Sandbox: Connect to the preview environment.
Production: Connect to the live environment.
Token Enter the unique API token used to connect to the FoodChain ID API.
Copy the token from FoodChain ID and paste into this field. This token is found in the User information section in FoodChain ID. Since only one token is required to connect, you can choose to have a generic user in FoodChain ID, which will contain the API token.
Copy the token from FoodChain ID and paste into this field. The token is held in secure storage not in the database.Select Next.
Populate the following fields:
Field Description Create Schedule Job Turn the toggle on to create and schedule the NICFCH Scheduled Job Runner (23079758) job queue that imports from and exports data to FoodChain ID.
The default job is set to run at 2:00AM every night.Inbound Ingredients Turn the toggle on to import ingredient data from FoodChain ID when the job is run. Packaging Turn the toggle on to import packaging data from FoodChain ID when the job is run. Finished Goods Turn the toggle on to import finished goods data from FoodChain ID when the job is run. Recipes Turn the toggle on to import recipe data from FoodChain ID when the job is run. Outbound Item Costs Turn the toggle on to export item costs from Business Central to FoodChain ID. Select Finish.
You test the connection to ensure it is working.
